I find joy in creating boundless worlds of color through combinations and subtle interactions between colors. Keeping a distance from established meanings and forms, I engage with my practice. My creative process is like a game of chicken, pushing forward until just before the moment when a work feels complete and closed. By moving back and forth between intuition and reflection, I aim to create works that maintain tension while remaining open to interpretation. From a small town in Japan, I hope my work can be seen and enjoyed by people around the world. If, when encountering my paintings, viewers feel as though they are looking at landscapes from millions of light-years away—scenes from an ancient past or a distant future—I would consider that a fulfillment of my intention.

色の組み合わせや混ざり具合によって、無限に広がる色の世界を生み出すことがわたしのよろこびです。既存の意味やかたちから距離を取りながら制作に向き合っています。
私の制作プロセスは、作品が完結し閉じてしまうその直前まで突き進む、いわばチキンレースのようなものです。直感と考察という両極を往復しながら、緊張感を保ったまま、なお開かれた作品を目指しています。
日本の片隅にある小さな町から、世界中の人々に作品を観てもらい楽しんでいただけたらうれしいです。そして作品を前にしたとき、何万光年も離れた場所にある、何億年もの過去あるいは未来の風景を想起してもらえたら幸いです。
